Photography Part Three

Disney Turned Infected

For my first half of my single's shots I went for a Disney themed shoot with a twist.. ZOMBIES! Disney Turned Infected! I went for Alice in Wonderland because I had recently brought the costume and thought it would be perfect, my friend Kelly agreed to be my model (luckily she's blonde too!)
I started off with the 'before' shots, of her looking 'normal' and undead.

Pretending to speak to the White Rabbit
normal Alice
Looking down on to the floor after drinking the potion and growing tall
Now it's time to turn this innocent girl into a monster.. A flesh eating crazy girl!

To which I decided I wanted to edit some of them, like adding in the white rabbit and her having zombie eyes..

Talking to the White Rabbit

Trying to grab him to eat him!

Flesh eating monster getting Gledd!

This was a very fun shoot to do, and with some of the best people who know how to get into character. So special thanks to Kelly Worsnop and Charlotte Gledden for helping me out and having an awesome day over all!
I shall now leave you with a GIF :D

Photography Part One

The 'Formal' One's

The idea behind this shoot was have three of us in plain black dresses whilst one of us stood out in a colour dress. This is our first group shot, which was Charlotte's theme, and was very fun to take part of.

These are the four shots that I have chosen, each one just oozes personality of each person but how it's the person that it is in colour that really stands out!
Now for the unedited and playful side of our shoot because what is a shoot without all the natural fun side to a persons personality, especially a group like ours..

Special thanks to
for all their hard work and fun!

Summer Project..

The Brief; I was given nine words to which I had to pick six, I choose Design, Discover, Creative, Future, Experiment and Urban. The subject was based around creating pull out cards that could/would appear in the Creative Review magazine, I had to create my very own typeface for each card so no previous fonts were allowed. I could use supporting graphics, have the word within a sentence as long as the word I had chosen was the main focus and stood out. These cards would come in a series, so you would collect them.
Here are my six designs;

Photography

For this brief, we was asked for six shots, two being groups but not of groups but as a group effort however was allowed to have groups of people in the shots. Then the remaining four are to be single portrait shots. One of the group shots had to be studio based whilst the other was on a location, and at least one of the portrait shots had to be on a location too.
I am really looking forward to each set of photos and the people I will be working with as we do have great amounts of fun!

Adidas Rebranding

This was a fun brief to work with as I utterly love Adidas, the brief was to select one of the three companies we was given, Adidas, Pepsi and Shell. I choose Adidas, to which was asked to create a 'lifestyle' type of sub-brand for them, something that wasn't sport related so like a new identity for them. It did have to be typographic based and have their iconic '3 stripes' included somewhere within the design.
Given only a week to do this, I kept my research basic, so I started by researching in to the Adidas' background and how the 3 stripes came around. Then looking at their previous well known logo's as well as looking at other ones that have big graphics/illustrations along side of them as a directed route I didn't want to go down. Making it clear what kind of identity I wanted to give this 'sub-brand'.
To which I started my sketches, I did only experiment with the original typeface but I felt it was just going to be accepted as just another sport type logo so I decided I would try a retro typeface for a new feel. I ended up liking two different typefaces but decided with 'RiotSquare';

and this was the outcome I finished with;

I'm really pleased with my final outcome and I really like how the 3 stripes run through the word, simple yet new!

Check 1, 2, 3..

This is basically a blog that will show my work and progress through out my second year at Uni. Yep that means after a lot of had work during the summer I passed and made it on to year two, definitely excited! To which I will definitely up load some of my summer project later on.
Do also have a website that is in the process of being finished and that will have everything on, first years work, this years, personal work and doodles!
